Q.    Can I download apps to my phone?

A.    To download apps from the Google Play store, you need a Google account on the phone.  Please refer to the instruction below on how to add a Google account to your phone.

Q.    How do I set up my Google account on this phone?

*Please note that your Google account is required on the phone to download and/or update any apps from the Google Play store.

A.    1. Click on the “Play Store”: From the phone home screen, please find the “Play Store” as seen in the picture and click on it to launch the Google Play store.

2. Sign in with your Google account inside Google Play: Please refer to following pictures...

1. Tap on the top right corner of the Google Play store main screen.  This will open Google option to “Manage your Google Account”.
2. Then click on “Manage your Google Account”.   A window will pop up indicating that there is “No account on this device”.
3. From this pop-up window, click on “Add account”.
4. Signing in with your existing Google account, you will need to add your corresponding e-mail and then the password of your Google account, respectively.  If you don’t have Google account, please see the instructions below in step (3) below on how to set up an account.
5. Upon successful addition of your Google account on the phone, you should see “Welcome” screen as shown in the picture below.

3. Create a new Google account: If you do not have a Google account or would prefer to create a new one to use with this phone.

1. Tap on “Create account” on the bottom left corner.  There will be a subsequent selection whether you like to create a new account for an adult, e.g. “For myself”, or for a child, e.g. “For my child”.   Please select this option per your preference.
2. You will then be asked to put in name and the date of birth.  The question on gender is optional.
3. Lastly, Google will ask for you to create a username to be used with Gmail.   This new Gmail account would be your Google account.
4. Upon successful setup of a new account, you will see the “Welcome” screen similar to previous picture above.

4. Associate your Google account as the main account on the phone.

1. Tap to open the Google Play from the phone home screen.
2. Then inside the Google play, click on the top right corner to open the Google account on the Play store.
3. Tap on the drop-down menu as seen in the picture below to see the list of available Google accounts.
4. Now you should see the Google account that you just added.
5. Select this account by tapping on it.  This would enable your Google account as the main account for the Google Play store.
6. Now you should be able to download any apps and update any apps on the phone.
